'Before' Images and Client Brief

Before. This garden was designed for the Small Garden section of the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. Though designed for a show, a client brief was still required.

'Teenage Sanctuary' was designed to utilise space at the end of a long, narrow town garden. Encouraging teenagers outside to study, relax & socialise in a young, vibrant space while at the same time giving them secrecy away from the grown ups.

Stepping into the garden takes you to a graffiti wall, here water falls gently down onto pebbles below; a funky wrought iron grate allows you to see the water trickle under your feet. A retro swing seat invites you to stop...... & relax. A spiral staircase takes you up to the top deck of the contemporary tower where you can sit amoung the tree tops.

Show Garden 2009

The clean lines of the polished aluminium tubing and the timeless cedar cladding give this show garden design a very sleek, contemporary look. This design would look at home in a large family garden or a smaller town garden.
