Starting the design process
1. Free consultation
Having made initial contact the first meeting is a free
consultation to discuss the transformation of your garden.
During this visit Kathryn will be able to assess your garden
and give an outline of design fees and time scales.
2. Site survey
This entails collecting specific information including detailed
measurements and soil analysis enabling the design work to
begin.
3. Your review of the preliminary design.
The drawing will show the general layout, hard landscaping, key
features and planting areas. Samples of hard landscaping
materials can be provided and suggestions for features, lighting
and furniture can be discussed. Any ammendments to the plan
can be made at this stage.
4. Presentation of the design.
A hand drawn scaled drawing that you can use to obtain quotes/ estimates from landscapers. (A list of landscapers can be recommended)
Planting Plans
Once the garden design is finalised, planting plans can be
prepared.These are a vital part of the design and take in to
consideration the aspect of the garden, year round colour,
interest, texture and form.
Design Fees
Garden design plans from £550.
Planting Plans (including Maintenance Schedules) from £250.
Size and complexity of the site will determine these costs.
Consultancy charged at £40 per hour.
Planting Service
Working to an agreed budget Kathryn's planting service ensures that your finished garden looks as intended, using high quality plants hand selected from local nurseries.
As part of the Planting Service a complimentry maintenance visit is also included within the first 6 months.
